In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 4, 2025, the life of 26-year-old Jarvis Cook, a Black male, was tragically cut short by gunfire at an apartment complex on Broadmoor Drive in Meridian, Mississippi. Police responded to the scene to find Cook lying in the road with a gunshot wound. Despite the quick arrival of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
