In the late hours of a June evening in Meridian, Mississippi, tragedy struck 24-year-old Jaterius Easley. On Friday, June 21, 2024, Easley was caught in a burst of gunfire that would ultimately claim his life. The shooting took place in the 500 block of 53rd Avenue, leaving a scene of chaos and violence.
