In the early evening of Thursday, January 23, 2025, the life of 30-year-old Sancarius A. Overstreet, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Meridian, Mississippi. At approximately 4:54 p.m., the Meridian Police Department received a 911 call reporting gunfire in the 300 block of 45th Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Overstreet suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
