On November 17, 2015, 29-year-old Jamal Christopher Holder was fatally shot in the parking lot of his workplace in Birmingham, Alabama. Holder, a father of four and described by his family as a peacemaker, had recently started his job and was attempting to intervene in a dispute between coworkers when the incident occurred.
