Harvey Stewart, a 29-year-old Black male, was shot to death late on July 12, 2008, on the 5100 block of 7th Street NW in Washington, D.C. Known in official records as Harvey Cobb, also listed as “aka Harvey Stewart,” he was attacked at approximately 11:41 p.m. The gunfire ripped through the summer night and left multiple victims in its wake: Stewart died of his wounds at the scene, a second person was rushed to a hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot injuries, and a third was ...
