On June 4, 2016, Kelvon Julius, a 15-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on 12th Street South, where Kelvon and a young woman were ambushed by multiple gunmen while waiting for a friend.
