In the summer of 2022, the life of 25-year-old Joshua Javon Thomas was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of Saturday, July 9th, officers from the West Precinct were dispatched to the intersection of 10th Place and 22nd Avenue West following reports of a person down. Upon their arrival just after 9:30 p.m., they discovered a grim scene.
