On September 16, 2020, 30-year-old Marvie Raynard Brown Jr. was fatally shot while unloading groceries from his vehicle at his residence on the 1700 block of Cedar Avenue Southwest in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8:46 p.m. According to the Birmingham Police Department, two unidentified suspects approached Brown, leading to an exchange of words before he was shot multiple times.
