Timber Chase Apartments on Beacon Parkway East after receiving a call about a person with a gun. It was later revealed that Jesse himself had contacted the police shortly before the fatal encounter. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Jesse unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of bystanders who rendered aid and the quick response of Birmingham Fire and Rescue, he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to UAB Hospital.
