On October 24, 2016, in Gallion, Alabama, 49-year-old Jessie Houston was discovered critically injured in her Linc Road home by her son upon his return from school. She had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was found bleeding on the floor. Authorities determined that her residence had been forcibly entered, and her vehicle was missing from the scene.
