On April 7, 2022, 30-year-old Brandon Charles Bennett of Horton, Alabama, was fatally shot in Albertville. At approximately 4:40 p.m., Albertville police responded to a shooting at 3939 Highpoint Road, where they found Bennett with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz, where he was pronounced dead.
