On June 23, 2024, 23-year-old JaMarcus Posey was fatally shot during a confrontation at the American Deli restaurant in Selma, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m., involving multiple individuals in a shootout. Posey sustained critical injuries and was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
