On a tragic Friday evening in Selma, Alabama, a trip to Walmart turned fatal for an unsuspecting man, 40-year-old Marcus Martin. On January 31, 2025, Martin was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, sitting in his vehicle in the store's parking lot when he was caught in the crossfire of a shootout. An altercation that began inside the Walmart at 1501 AL Hwy 14 East spilled out into the parking lot, erupting in a hail of bullets. One of those bullets tragically found and killed Martin.
