On April 30, 2021, 23-year-old Donnell De'Achavious Bowie was fatally shot at Valley Creek Apartments in Selma, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 1 a.m., Selma Police officers discovered Bowie with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate CPR efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
