On May 16, 2023, around midnight, the Dallas County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Circle Drive in Selma, Alabama. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 22-year-old Kobe Campbell in the front yard of his residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
