On the evening of September 23, 2018, 28-year-old Quinton Lamar Riddle was fatally shot while visiting a residence in the 4700 block of Little Drive in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. when another individual arrived at the home, leading to an argument that escalated into gunfire. Shots fired outside the residence struck Riddle, who was inside at the time. He was transported to UAB Medical West, where he was pronounced dead at 8:06 p.m.
