On July 28, 2020, 45-year-old Demarcus Tyrone Hale was fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Carolina Terrace, where Hale was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to UAB Medical West but succumbed to his injuries.

The Bessemer Police Department sought public assistance to identify the individual responsible for Hale's death. Despite their efforts, no arrests have been reported, and the case remains unsolved.
