In the winter of 1981, a night of camaraderie took a fatal turn for an off-duty police officer. Robert Walsh, a 36-year-old man and a respected officer in the New York City Police Department, had just finished his shift and was unwinding with a friend at the BVD Bar and Grill in Queens on the evening of January 12th.
