A 59-year-old Black male, Richard Brown, was tragically killed on the evening of Thursday, October 3, 2024, in a shooting that took place in an apartment in Queens, New York. The incident occurred at the Ocean Bay Apartments, a New York City Housing Authority complex in the Arverne section of the Rockaways. Friends of Mr. Brown mentioned that he had been actively trying to overcome a drug dependency.
