In the winter of 2018, the life of 19-year-old Shontell Samuel was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. On the evening of Wednesday, December 12th, police and fire medics responded to a call on South Court Street. Upon arrival, they found Samuel with a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss of a young life.
