On September 21, 2002, 52-year-old Claudine Lee Parker was fatally shot during a robbery at the ABC Select Spirits liquor store on Zelda Road in Montgomery, Alabama. Parker, an employee of the store, was closing up for the evening alongside her coworker, 24-year-old Kellie Adams, when the incident occurred. Both women were shot; Parker succumbed to her injuries, while Adams survived but sustained severe wounds.
