On May 1, 2022, in Montgomery, Alabama, 32-year-old Erica Reese was fatally shot in the 500 block of East Patton Avenue, near the Normandale Shopping Center. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m., resulting in Reese's death at the scene. Two other individuals, a man with life-threatening injuries and a woman with non-life-threatening injuries, were also shot and transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle.
