In the late summer of 2020, the life of a young woman from Montgomery, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Eighteen-year-old Kobe Reed, a Black female, found her life hanging in the balance on the evening of September 5th. On that day, she was shot on Harrison Road, a violent act that would ultimately prove fatal. For two days, she fought for her life, but succumbed to her injuries on September 7th, becoming the city's 44th homicide victim of the year.
