In the late summer of 2020, the community of Crossville, Tennessee, was shaken by the untimely death of a local man. Austin Shane Lewis, a 30-year-old White male, was found deceased in his home on Neverfail Road on September 3, 2020. Concern had grown for his well-being, leading to a welfare check that would uncover a grim scene. Responding deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office discovered the front door of the residence appeared to have been forced open.
