In the early morning hours of September 5, 2021, the life of 28-year-old Andrinique Rene Sheridan, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. Officers responded to a call shortly after 7 a.m. and discovered Ms. Sheridan in the 900 block of David Drive, where she had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting quickly led authorities to a suspect who was also present at the location.
James Jennings, a 31-year-old man from Montgomery, was found at the scene with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ms. Sheridan's death, Jennings was identified as the primary suspect.
Upon his release from the hospital, James Jennings was taken into custody and formally charged with the murder of Andrinique Rene Sheridan. He was subsequently incarcerated at the Montgomery County Detention Facility. The case against him marked a significant development in bringing a measure of resolution to the untimely death of Ms. Sheridan.
