In the quiet hours of a Saturday night in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 52-year-old Yvette Carter was tragically cut short. On February 11, 2023, police and paramedics rushed to the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue around 10:35 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ms. Carter inside a residence, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into Yvette Carter's death quickly revealed it was a homicide,
leaving her family and the community searching for answers. Investigators have since been working to piece together the events of that night. Their efforts have included the release of descriptions of three suspects who were captured on video surveillance footage. The individuals, all wearing hoodies, were seen exiting a small, black sedan with no tint and factory rims just before the shooting occurred.
