On the night of February 11, 2023, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a shooting incident in the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 52-year-old Yvette Carter suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
