Angel Goldsmith, a 26-year-old Black woman from Montgomery, Alabama, was killed in a shooting on May 5, 2021, in what became another sudden, devastating act of gun violence in the city. That evening, police and fire medics were sent to the 3600 block of Bridlewood Drive after a report of a person who had been shot. When they arrived, they found Goldsmith with a fatal gunshot wound.
