On August 16, 2019, in Montgomery, Alabama, 7-year-old Omarion Greenhouse was tragically shot and killed in his home. Around 12:45 a.m., Omarion awoke and left his bedroom, inadvertently startling 32-year-old Willie Sankey, who was asleep on the living room couch. Reacting to the sudden disturbance, Sankey discharged a firearm, fatally wounding the child. Omarion was transported to Baptist Medical Center South, where he was pronounced dead.
