Marcus Jarrell Henderson, a 34-year-old Black man from Montgomery, Alabama, was killed in a burst of gunfire early on February 18, 2024, in a shooting that shattered the quiet of the morning in the 3500 block of McGehee Road, near the old Montgomery Mall area. Police said officers were called there at about 6:10 a.m., and when they arrived they found Henderson suffering from a gunshot wound.
