On September 9, 2019, Richard Earl Jenkins Jr., a 28-year-old man from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was found dead in what authorities later confirmed to be a homicide. Jenkins’ body was discovered in a wooded area near the 200 block of 35th Street, not far from his home, with signs of significant trauma. The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the scene and began investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
