On September 9, 2019, Richard Earl Jenkins Jr., a 28-year-old man from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was found dead in what authorities later confirmed to be a homicide. Jenkins’ body was discovered in a wooded area near the 200 block of 35th Street, not far from his home, with signs of significant trauma.
