On the night of April 24, 2021, 24-year-old Jamarqus Howard was found unresponsive in his vehicle at Branscomb Apartments on 60th Street in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Responding to reports of a vehicle accident around 10:20 p.m., deputies from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office discovered that Howard had been shot. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
