On a late Saturday night, October 4, 2025, 37-year-old Keeondray Sterling was found fatally shot inside a storage-unit “event venue” on the 3400 block of Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa. Police and the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit responded just before 11 p.m., locating Sterling deceased at the scene. Local authorities later noted this was the second killing at the same facility this year, underscoring a troubling pattern of after-hours gatherings inside rented units.
