On the night of January 18, 2025, 22-year-old African American male Marquise Scott was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment at Creekwood Village Apartments, located at 1750 40th Avenue in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around 11:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of Marquise Scott, who had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
