On the night of April 12, 2024, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 18-year-old Jacob Crumpton was fatally shot during what authorities believe was an attempted robbery. The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. on Reece Boulevard, culminating in the vehicle Crumpton was driving crashing into a house. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered both Crumpton and another male, 17-year-old Carderrius Murry, inside the car, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
