On April 12, 2024, 18-year-old Jacob Crumpton was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Reece Boulevard, where deputies discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a home. Inside the car, both Crumpton and 17-year-old Carderrius Murry were found with gunshot wounds.
