On December 11, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., 30-year-old Michael Brand Jr. was fatally shot near the intersection of 24th Street and Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred about a block away from Club 205 as a large group of patrons was exiting the nightclub. Upon arrival, officers found Brand suffering from a gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
