On January 28, 2024, 30-year-old Demarkus Ge-Juan "Shrek/Snoop" Hall was fatally shot at the Landmark Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Hall, who did not reside at the complex, was visiting friends when he was targeted in a premeditated robbery that escalated to his death. Investigators indicated that illegal drugs were involved in the incident.
