In the early hours of January 1, 2023, 26-year-old Deshawn Tanthony Eatmon was fatally shot at Brookhaven Apartments, located at 1310 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway East in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 2:20 a.m., Tuscaloosa Police officers arrived to find Eatmon deceased at the scene.
