On April 2, 2023, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Tuscaloosa police officers responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of 12th Avenue and James I. Harrison Parkway. The incident involved a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Courtney Terrell Harris, who collided with another car and subsequently struck 65-year-old pedestrian Samuel Crispin. Crispin was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries later that day.
