On January 14, 2023, at approximately noon, Tuscaloosa Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Sun Valley Apartments, located at 5140 36th Avenue East. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Terrence Knott Jr. deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound.
