In the summer of 2020, Henry McAlpine, a 44-year-old man from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, lost his life to gun violence. On June 23, 2020, McAlpine was fatally shot during an argument on Elm Street in Tuscaloosa. He died the following day, June 24, 2020, at DCH Regional Medical Center.

The investigation into McAlpine's death led to the arrest of 24-year-old Omar Fowler, who was charged with his murder. Fowler was subsequently released on bond. The case took a dramatic turn in August 2020, when F ...
