On November 2, 2021, 20-year-old Maurice Jones Jr., also known as Maurice Jones-McCollum, was fatally shot in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the 2500 block of 11th Court. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
