In a tragic incident that unfolded on a Saturday evening in West Tuscaloosa, 66-year-old Mitchell Lewis lost his life in what authorities have described as a family-related shooting. The event took place on October 8, 2022, when police were called to a residence in the 3000 block of 20th Street around 6:15 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds inside the home.
