On February 27, 2019, 24-year-old JaVaris Deandre Barnes was fatally shot in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred in the afternoon on Beech Street, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Barnes deceased in a vehicle.
