On August 9, 2024, just before midnight, a shooting occurred at Creekwood Village Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the scene, where they discovered 23-year-old Emillio Tra'Von Herndon deceased and another individual suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The incident reportedly stemmed from a minor altercation.
