On April 7, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Tuscaloosa Police responded to a shooting in the 4600 block of Virginia Drive in the Holt community. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Jakeria Rashaad May suffering from multiple gunshot wounds sustained during an altercation at his residence. He was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
