In the early hours of a Sunday morning in the Holt community of Tuscaloosa County, a place he called home, Jakeria Rashaad May’s life was tragically cut short. On April 7, 2024, the 35-year-old man was shot multiple times during an altercation at his residence on Virginia Drive. The incident unfolded around 1:45 a.m., shattering the quiet of the predawn hours. Despite being rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center, May succumbed to his injuries.
