On the evening of April 9, 2022, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Tuscaloosa Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3500 block of 21st Street South. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Charlie Lee Thomas deceased at the scene, with another individual suffering non-life-threatening injuries. The injured person was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.
