On February 3, 2014, David Campos-Zacarias, 30, was tragically shot and killed in an incident that police believe may have been a robbery. Campos-Zacarias and Tomas Campos-Cortes had parked and were socializing near their vehicle at the Renwick Apartments in southwest Houston. While they were outside in the parking lot, an unknown assailant approached and opened fire, striking both men.
