On the night of September 6, 2017, 35-year-old Antonio Dewayne Burl was fatally shot in front of his residence on Willow Lane in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. At approximately 10:50 p.m., Burl and a female companion were seated in his vehicle when two armed men approached them, demanding property. During the confrontation, Burl was shot, resulting in his death at the scene, while the woman managed to escape unharmed.
