On August 6, 2024, at approximately 10:20 p.m., 63-year-old Mcran James Montgomery and his partner, 62-year-old Antionette Hawkins, were fatally shot in their residence on the 3700 block of 25th Place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting. Upon arrival, officers found both victims deceased inside the home.
