On May 7, 2017, 23-year-old Branden Deon Moss was fatally shot in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred near the 3000 Bar, located just off Bryant Drive near the University of Alabama campus. Witnesses reported that Moss intervened to assist a man being assaulted by four others in a parking lot across the street from the bar. During this intervention, he was shot multiple times.
